Notice: There WILL be spoilers of Carry On and Wayward Son in this!
After reading Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, I thought that was all of the wondrous world of Simon Snow that I would ever get. But the sequel, Wayward Son, came, four years later, and I was overjoyed.
Rowell then revealed that this series will be a trilogy, told the title of the book, Any Way the Wind Blows, and released the cover image.

I was not disappointed with either of the previous two books in the slightest, so I do have some high expectations and points that need to be touched on in this next book.
Number One:
Simon's Name Reveal
It is revealed that Simon's full name is Simon Snow Salisbury, though everyone had previously thought his full name was Simon Snow. Baz has called him "Snow" since they had started school, and this would be a pretty big change for everyone. Can you imagine Baz saying "Salisbury" as often as he used to say Snow? (Maybe he will have to use Simon's first name, which Simon prefers....) Simon's last name comes from his parents, which brings us to the next point...
Number Two:
Simon needs to learn about his family!
Readers learn that Simon's two parents were the Mage, who ran the Watford School until he was killed, and Lucy Salisbury. Simon still has no idea who his parents were/are, and has simply accepted the fact that he is an orphan.
Agatha, Simon's ex-girlfriend, however, does have some information on Simon's parentage. It is possibly that she will have to be the one to tell everyone the truth.
Number Three:
Advances for Simon
Throughout the entirety of Wayward Son, Simon is dealing with some pretty extreme depression because of both the events of the previous book and his loss of his magical powers.
He is barely able to get off of the couch, until he is forced to go on the trip to America. He even is about to break up with Baz at the end of the book, for he feels that he will never be good enough for Baz because of his loss of his magic.
I can only hope that he will be able to raise his self-esteem in this new book, even if it means a breakup with Baz. (Eh... maybe not... I don't think I could live without the Snowbaz action)
Number Four:
Snowbaz!
As I mentioned, I can't live without it! Wayward Son had almost a complete absence of Snowbaz action, which made me even more excited for the next book, but also nervous. If they break up at the beginning of the book, I admit I will have a hard time getting through it with a heavy heart.
Hopefully Simon can recover and realize how much Baz really loves him.
Number Five:
Overall Magical Advancements
After the gang has left Watford, we all want to know what they are up to! Is Penelope going to become a Magickal Scholar? What will become of Simon, now that he cannot really be the Chosen One anymore? What'll happen to Agatha's dog, Lucy? Why is Simon holding the Sword of Mages on the cover of the new book? So many questions, and I hope they can all be answered in this next installment.
I am so excited!
